Alfonso Bottone (Wearing Shoes) is back on Flankup with a follow-up to his debut release "Healing EP" from 2020. His new "Thornly Park EP" is a journey that continues through a sea formed by different and sometimes experimental sound waves, a great example of the well-curated eclecticism of Alfonso. The EP features 3 originals and a J2D remix.

The window house facing a scottish park called “Thornly Park”. This is the first track of the info-side: acid bass built on a progressive drums arrangement, enrolled by a backgrounded deep chord, a whistling flute lead and some other synth-keys variations & progressions. A mixture of sub-genres to make one.

From the idea of a New York classic deep house chord and a deep dancing bass and a crying synth-guitar lead, "This Groove" was born where the melody follows a classic vocal loop that brings us souvenirs. This track was made and built towards Jack groove vocals, with full respect and admiration for the original track.

The logo-side starts with the J2D Remix of "This Groove". He is inspired by the energy of the original and chooses to create a steady groove where the lush key work of Discojuice shines both on the Piano
rhodes chords and a muscle-flexing moog phrasing of Antioco. The vocal sample of the original is accompanied by percussion rhythms written by Francesco Bellini. With these elements working together in perfect harmony, you can practically feel the good vibes these 3 friends had while recording the remix.

Raving on some rhodes. All along the "Rainy Rave'', rhodes are giving the way, the lead and the groove to this kicking drums and rhythm. Variations and progressions make the track floating in between genres and subgenres such as Drum and Bass, Deep House and Lounge.
